This work at was created at one of the sites where Japanese fishing boats were confiscated and gathered in 1941, in order to explore themes of preservation, memory and transparency. This installation uses a ready made collection of vintage canning jars as the vessels, that hold and preserve stories. The sun dyed canvas made at the site represents a connection to place working with the land and water that meditates on absence and loss.
